It’s day 30 in the Vendeeglobe 2024 around the world sailing/foiling race and excited sea states with breaking waves and confused wave patterns have been battering the fleet for days now. From lost foils to broken battens and small personal injuries. It’s clear the increased speeds of the new designs are not without their own cost and draw-backs. Even though circumstances can always change suddenly, the skippers are not getting confused by old patterns or expectations and are taking what comes, day by day, dealing with the challenges one by one. Secure in the knowledge that no-one can predict what will happen tomorrow, let alone several days from now. Because in a Vendeeglobe race, nothing is sure! But eacj skipper trusts in their ability to role with punches and adapt to what comes. Make sure to bring coffee! Because Seawolves is back again!
