Another 24 hours have passed in the VendeeGlobe 2024 around the world sailing/foiling race. And roaring only just ahead of a massive southern ocean storm, are two sailors who have quite literally risked it all, and it looks, at least for the moment, like it’s just may deliver the two gents into a commanding lead in place #1 and 2# of this VendeeGlobe. It’s an impressive piece of tactical sailing, but with the race at nearly 36% raced, there is still long miles to go, and much can happen! Meanwhile Louis Burton, after battling like a Lion to keep his IMOCA in the race, has had to retire and now in heavy weather, heading back to the safety of Capetown.
